Role Overview
This position blends data analysis, hardware manufacturing, quality and reliability engineering, and digital transformation. The selected candidate will turn large-scale manufacturing, test, and deployment data into practical insights for NPI and Product Operations teams.
The role also involves converting complex manufacturing and quality topics into measurable metrics, interactive dashboards, and AI-enabled tools. A major part of the job is helping replace manual processes with scalable, automated, insight-led workflows using statistical methods, cloud data platforms, and AI technologies.
What You Will Do
- Pull, clean, reshape, and study fleet-level manufacturing, testing, deployment, and operational data using advanced SQL DML.
- Convert manufacturing, quality, and reliability requirements into trackable metrics and data-backed solutions.
- Run statistical checks on manufacturing test data to support data integrity, dependable analysis, and root-cause work.
- Share feedback upstream to improve data quality, coverage, and system performance.
- Spot opportunities to reduce manual effort through AI and advanced analytics.
- Create recommendation models for data standards, anomaly detection, smarter data mapping, and quality intelligence.
- Help connect AI and machine learning services such as Vertex AI and LLMs into analytics workflows and smart applications.
- Work with engineers and product teams to bring AI capabilities into hardware NPI and manufacturing processes.
- Build and support dashboards and reports in Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Present manufacturing performance, data quality scores, operating metrics, headcount status, and spending information in visual form.
- Prepare executive summaries and presentations that simplify technical findings into clear action points.
- Give leadership timely visibility into manufacturing and operational performance.
- Collaborate professionally with engineers, product owners, suppliers, and subject-matter experts across manufacturing, quality, IT, and operations.
- Advise suppliers and engineering teams on effective data collection, standards, and data warehousing approaches.
- Support several workstreams at once by monitoring progress, identifying risks, and escalating blockers when needed.
- Assist change management through documentation, communication planning, and process training.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Strong SQL skills, including a solid grasp of data modeling and normalization principles.
- Programming ability in Python or R for analysis, with experience using NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, and scikit-learn.
- Good analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and statistical analysis skills.
- Experience building dashboards, reports, and structured datasets for business and engineering decisions.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience with cloud data warehouses such as Google BigQuery or similar platforms.
- Preferred: Familiarity with Google Cloud data tools such as Vertex AI, Colab, and Cloud APIs.
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience creating interactive dashboards in Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI, or comparable tools.
- Preferred: Practical exposure to AI/ML models, large language models, and AI-driven workflow automation.
- Preferred: Background in electronics manufacturing, quality engineering, test engineering, or reliability engineering.
- Preferred: Exposure to data governance, data quality management, or master data management.
- Preferred: Familiarity with headcount planning, resource allocation, or vendor/contractor tracking.
- Preferred: Ability to speak Mandarin or French.
Perks and Benefits
- Opportunity to learn and grow through several cutting-edge projects.
- Flexible working hours with a remote work arrangement.
- Competitive benefits and overall compensation package.
- One extra day off for your birthday.
