Data Analyst (Excel)

Position Overview

This contract opportunity is for a Data Analyst who will work remotely and use Microsoft Excel as the primary analysis tool. The role is centered on turning raw data into practical insights that help guide business decisions. The expected commitment is 10 to 40 hours per week, and compensation is set at $40 to $55 per hour.

What You'll Do

• Analyze data thoroughly in Excel to uncover insights that can inform decision-making.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand what data is needed and shape the analysis accordingly.
• Inspect, clean, and verify datasets so they remain accurate, consistent, and reliable.
• Create straightforward reports and visual outputs that present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Spot patterns, outliers, and business opportunities within complex datasets and support strategic work.
• Maintain detailed records of analysis methods, outcomes, and recommendations.

What We’re Looking For

• Hands-on background in business data analysis with Microsoft Excel as the main working tool.
• Very strong accuracy and care when handling and reporting data.
• Clear written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to explain analytical conclusions well.
• Comfort working with cross-functional teams to help achieve business goals.
• Good command of Excel formulas, functions, and visualization features.
