Job description
Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Customer Service Manager to lead a compact operations team based in Christchurch. This role involves managing daily operational activities, booking administration, resident support within halls of residence, and fostering relationships with key stakeholders, including students, families, and the University of Canterbury.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage your own Customer Service team effectively.
- Oversee day-to-day administrative operations linked to student housing management.
- Recruit, guide, and develop a high-performing team.
- Liaise with management and the University for booking arrangements.
- Manage room inspections and coordinate maintenance reporting.
- Assist front-of-house teams with resident account and financial matters.
- Collaborate with facilities staff to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and hall presentation.
- Generate and submit reports to senior management as needed.
- Participate actively as a member of the emergency response team.
Requirements
- Prior leadership experience within accommodation or related industries.
- Possession of a full and clean New Zealand driver's license.
- Experience in leasing and property management responsibilities.
- Background in tertiary education or student support settings considered highly favorable.
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Commitment to excellent service delivery and quality resident experience.
- Must be able to pass a New Zealand Police Vetting process.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time role requiring 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with some availability needed after hours.

Bachelor's Degree
