This position is with Frontdoor, the company behind American Home Shield and the Frontdoor app. Frontdoor focuses on helping homeowners protect, maintain, and repair their homes through a network of vetted contractors and digital support tools. American Home Shield serves nearly two million members and offers coverage for up to 23 major home systems and appliances. The Frontdoor app adds real-time video help through Streem technology, plus DIY guidance, savings, and other homeowner benefits.
What You Will Do
As a Customer Care Associate, you will be the face of the business for customers and partners such as contractors and realtors. The role calls for understanding product coverage, following all company policies and procedures, and maintaining a professional, service-focused approach in every interaction.
- Support customers, contractors, and business partners through inbound and outbound calls, written messages, and electronic communication while following contract coverage and company rules.
- Explain contract benefits and coverage details to customers and contractors.
- Track down and follow up on service issues until they are resolved.
- Stay up to date on policies, procedures, programs, and any required continuing education.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is required. The employer prefers candidates with at least 1 year of experience. Experience in customer service or related training is a plus.
Skills Needed
The role requires strong computer use, careful attention to detail, clear judgment, the ability to juggle multiple tasks, and comfort working in a busy, fast-moving environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this role is $16 to $17 per hour, with the final rate depending on skills, qualifications, responsibilities, experience, and location. Some positions may also qualify for extra rewards or incentives.
