About the Role
Based in Dublin, Way Out West is seeking a Creative Lead with a focus on social-first content to direct the creative vision for some of the fastest-growing consumer brands in Ireland and the UK. This role is distinct from traditional creative director positions, emphasizing a deep passion for platforms like TikTok and Instagram, understanding the dynamics of social content, and the ability to transform trends into impactful campaigns that deliver measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all creative direction during client shoots.
- Conceptualize and develop campaign ideas, hooks, and scripts.
- Conduct research on current trends, creators, and competitor campaigns.
- Create moodboards, shot lists, and detailed production plans.
- Direct creative talent and teams on set effectively.
- Collaborate closely with videographers and editors to achieve quality output.
- Review video edits ensuring consistently high creative standards.
- Present creative ideas internally and occasionally to clients.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of four years’ experience creating social-first content.
- Background working within agencies or fast-growing brands.
- Proven experience in directing shoots.
- Strong copywriting skills and concept development abilities.
- Keen eye for photography, videography, and narrative storytelling.
- Comfortable providing and receiving creative feedback.
Desirable Attributes
- Possession of a full clean driver’s license.
- Access to a personal vehicle for traveling to shoots.
