Role Overview
The Coordinator of Partnership Activation plays a key role in executing and implementing all sponsorship obligations as per contracts. This position emphasizes nurturing strong relationships with existing partners to foster renewal, retention, and increased engagement within the partnership marketing efforts of the Club.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Director and Manager with daily management and strategic delivery of the Club's Main & Founding Partners, ensuring flawless execution of all contractual and activation requirements.
- Lead Partnership Ambassadors by providing guidance, organizing schedules, and overseeing on-site execution of partner activations and events, ensuring all sponsor-related contract elements are effectively delivered.
- Contribute collaboratively with the partnership marketing team to create innovative proposals for activation campaigns.
- Offer continuous creative marketing insights and suggestions for partners, including digital strategies, retail activations, in-stadium promotions, special events, and community engagement initiatives.
- Keep detailed records of partnership assets and maintain an accurate inventory of sponsorship elements.
- Manage ticket allocation and distribution for partners efficiently.
- Document sponsorship entitlements meticulously through photos, screenshots, frequency reports, affidavits, and related materials.
- Focus on partner goals by tracking return on investment (ROI), return on objectives (ROO), media and promotional appraisals along with performance measurement.
- Support the execution of departmental special events as needed.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive partnership creative briefs.
- Attend all home games and support the delivery of on-site partner activations.
- Compile all proof of performance data and research for partner reporting and recaps.
- Oversee partnership marketing interns and game day staff during events.
- Coordinate partner player appearances to maximize engagement.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure smooth partnership operations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a closely related field is mandatory.
- Proven experience in client or partner management within media, sports sponsorship, or entertainment sectors.
- Familiarity with Major League Soccer (MLS) and international soccer is advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills essential for effective collaboration with clients, operational teams, and senior leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask effectively and creatively resolve day-to-day operational challenges.
- Highly organized individual with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong dedication and teamwork mentality with a proactive approach to getting tasks completed efficiently.
- Experience managing multiple projects and timelines simultaneously is preferred.
- Knowledge of marketing, promotions, event planning, and game production beneficial.
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Flexible availability to work varied hours such as evenings, weekends, and holidays.
