About The Role
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef or Cook to join our upcoming cafe, The Dosa Kadai, located in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. The ideal candidate will have a passion for preparing South Indian, Chinese, and Fast Food cuisines, with experience in food preparation and maintaining high food quality standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare food with attention to quality and taste consistency.
- Assist in menu planning and standardizing recipes.
- Ensure kitchen cleanliness and discipline are upheld.
- Contribute to establishing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for uniform taste and quality every time.
Preferred Experience
- South Indian dishes such as Dosa, Idli, Vada, Uttapam, Sambar, Chutney, and Filter Coffee.
- Chinese cuisine including Noodles, Fried Rice, Manchurian, Momos, Soups, and Starters.
- Fast Food items like Burgers, Sandwiches, Pasta, Pizza, Fries, and Wraps.
Additional Expectations
- Collaborate with the business owner and chef to finalize menus, dishes, and taste profiles.
- Participate actively in recipe development and SOP creation.
- Focus on hygiene and maintaining consistency.
- Desire to work long-term and grow alongside the business.
Compensation
Salary is negotiable and will be based on experience and skills, generally ranging between 15000 to 20000 INR per month.
