Consumables Associate

Position Overview

Joining Walmart Canada as a Consumables Associate offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience within the retail environment. This role demands a customer-focused team member who helps ensure a smooth, high-volume merchandise flow from storage areas to the sales floor. Associates collaborate to stock products, assist customers, and maintain a clean, safe store atmosphere.

Key Duties

• Welcome customers warmly and courteously.
• Support shoppers by promoting merchandise, guiding them to products, and aiding in purchase decisions.
• Address customer concerns and escalate issues to management when necessary.
• Keep the sales floor visually appealing by stocking shelves, rotating inventory, removing damaged or expired items, arranging product displays, and updating signage and pricing.
• Handle claims and returns accurately, monitor merchandise security, identify high-loss items, and follow company safety protocols.
• Receive and process shipments, use equipment properly, and complete required paperwork and logs.
• Direct customers to Customer Service Managers for specialized assistance or transactions.
• Manage stocking, picking, downstocking tasks, apply product protection as needed, and set up modular displays including flex modulars and new shelf caps.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $16.50.
