CMM Instructor

About the Role

The CMM Instructor will train students, technicians, and quality professionals in operating, programming, and inspecting parts with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), specifically Mitutoyo Crysta-Apex V systems. The position is centered on building hands-on capability, improving measurement precision, and reinforcing strong dimensional inspection and quality control practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct both theory sessions and practical training on CMM operation, programming, and inspection methods for students or industrial trainers.
• Explain and demonstrate CMM software such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, CMM Manager, or similar platforms.
• Teach the principles and practical use of GD&T in CMM-based inspection.
• Show how to set up parts, choose probes, align components, and plan measurement approaches effectively.
• Create lesson plans, training content, and hands-on exercises for trainees and students.
• Assess learner progress through tests, assignments, projects, and practical evaluations.
• Work in line with quality requirements under ISO, ASME, and customer-specific standards.
• Support proper CMM maintenance, keep calibration practices in mind, and uphold laboratory safety norms.
• Keep learning about new developments in metrology, CMM equipment, and software improvements.
• Guide and assist trainees with technical questions and mentoring support.
