Position Overview
Take a significant step forward in your career as a Clinical Psychologist with Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora. Join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering enhanced health outcomes across inpatient, community, and kaupapa Māori-led services. Opportunities exist in Auckland and multiple other regions including Bay of Plenty, Canterbury, Capital Coast, Whanganui, Counties, Hawke’s Bay, Northland, South Canterbury, Southern, Tairāwhiti, and Waitematā.
Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Psychologist, you will contribute expertise in a broad spectrum of settings supporting adult and child mental health, neuropsychology, rehabilitation, alcohol and drug services, behavioral medicine, forensic services, and specialized areas such as renal and diabetes care. Your role will involve delivering evidence-based, person-focused care collaboratively with clinicians, communities, and whānau to promote recovery, wellbeing, and resilience.

You will work within a structured 16-step salary scale ranging from NZD 85,000 to NZD 150,000, with automatic annual progression through the initial steps and merit-based advancement thereafter, contingent on performance.
