About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Civil Designer/Drafter to join our Sunshine Coast team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers and designers to support a varied project portfolio, delivering precise and efficient drafting outputs that meet client and project requirements. Collaboration with internal teams, clients, and regulatory bodies is integral to the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage civil drafting documentation for land development and transport infrastructure projects.
- Prepare and oversee civil drawing packages utilizing AutoCAD software.
- Demonstrate proficient design skills using 12D (including Network Editor) or Civil3D applications.
- Work collaboratively with engineers and stakeholders to ensure designs are technically accurate and efficient.
- Adhere to Australian standards, local government requirements, and Austroads guidelines within all design work.
- Effectively manage multiple projects, adhering to deadlines and priorities.
- Contribute towards ongoing improvements in design methodologies and project results.
- Support the development of construction documents and respond to construction phase queries as needed.
Candidate Requirements
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in civil drafting, preferably within a consultancy firm; candidates with more experience may be considered for senior roles.
- Relevant tertiary qualification, such as an Associate Diploma.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong communication skills and professionalism.
- A proactive mindset with enthusiasm for continuous development.
- Must possess permanent working rights for Australia.
