KidStrong specializes in nurturing stronger, smarter, and more athletic children from when they start walking up to 11 years old. Role Overview
We are expanding rapidly and seek a lively and passionate Childrens Coach to interact with both kids and parents, delivering a meaningful impact. The ideal candidate has coaching or athletic experience, preferably with children aged from 12 months to 11 years old. This part-time role offers schedule flexibility, primarily covering weekday mornings and evenings, plus weekend mornings. Opportunities may include additional private coaching sessions.
Responsibilities
- Lead classes of 6 to 15 children, ages 12 months through 11 years, following the curriculum provided by headquarters.
- Begin and end classes punctually while maintaining appropriate pacing.
- Welcome students and their parents or guardians individually before and at the start of each class.
- Create a dynamic, motivating, fun, and professional atmosphere in every session.
- Demonstrate and oversee exercise execution to promote brain, physical, and character development.
- Uphold the cleanliness and safety of the facility, including all common areas and equipment.
- Accurately document attendance and progress via the KS Coach’s App for parental updates.
- Communicate effectively with team members through Slack and attend mandatory training and staff meetings.
- Work physically within an active environment, covering multiple miles per shift and handling equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Provide hands-on assistance to ensure children's proper technique and safety, especially for those three years and younger.
- Participate in monthly programming meetings to prepare for upcoming curriculum modules and special seasonal classes.
- Achieve and maintain certified status through headquarters training and certification programs.
Qualifications
- A genuine passion for working with children is essential.
- Previous coaching experience with similar age groups preferred.
- Comfortable educating parents about the KidStrong curriculum.
- Intermediate understanding of physiology, exercise methods, and body mechanics.
- CPR certification is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a positive and motivating presence.
- Proactive and self-driven approach to work completion.
- Confidence in engaging and being in the spotlight is advantageous.
