Job description
Company Overview
TRIFECTA Singapore, operated by The Ride Side, is Asia's pioneering integrated surf-snow-skate destination, located in the heart of Singapore. This unique venue combines mountain and wave elements in a tropical setting, catering to a broad community of sports enthusiasts, creatives, and lifestyle followers. TRIFECTA functions as three businesses—Surf, Snow, and Lifestyle—under one roof, aiming to provide an engaging and inclusive environment for all skill levels.
Role Summary
As the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at TRIFECTA Singapore, you will hold a full-time position with a hybrid work model, requiring some on-site presence alongside flexible remote work. You will be responsible for daily operational oversight across the surf, snow, and skate facilities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and premium guest experiences. Your leadership will extend to business planning, budgeting, financial monitoring, and partnering with executives to push strategic growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full P&L ownership including revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, and maintaining cash discipline.
- Collaborate with business unit heads to build and monitor annual budgets, keeping payroll ratios in check.
- Approve pricing structures and monitor monthly P&L management reviews with finance, addressing deviations exceeding 10%.
- Provide leadership and coaching to business unit heads and shared services leaders, setting quarterly priorities with a strict scope management policy.
- Oversee hiring approvals for salaried roles, conduct final interviews, and govern performance improvement and termination processes.
- Conduct monthly business reviews, maintain key operational metrics and venue scorecard, and present quarterly updates to founders in board-style sessions.
- Develop and enforce management SOPs, resolve cross-business unit conflicts swiftly and in writing.
- Establish and monitor venue-wide guest service standards, owning NPS and repeat visitation metrics and approving staff scheduling with proper controls.
- Manage vendor contracts including HR agencies, booking platforms, and F&B operations, ensuring alignment with targets.
- Maintain ultimate responsibility for safety, licensing, and compliance via supervisory roles.
Candidate Profile & Qualifications
- Over ten years of leadership experience within venues, hospitality, fitness, or attractions with comprehensive P&L responsibilities.
- Proven experience coaching mid-level management rather than direct operation, demonstrating strong team leadership.
- Track record of achieving revenue growth rather than focusing solely on cost control.
- Strong skills in business planning, strategic leadership, and implementing growth-driven initiatives.
- Expertise in operations management of multi-site or complex recreational/hospitality venues.
- Proficient analytical capabilities and use of data-driven decisions to enhance operational performance and guest satisfaction.
- Financial acumen including P&L ownership, forecasting, and budget management.
- Industry experience in sports, leisure, hospitality, or lifestyle sectors preferred.
- Ability to lead diverse teams, promote collaboration, and cultivate performance-driven cultures.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management capabilities, able to liaise effectively with founders and partners.
- Holds a bachelor's degree in business, management, finance, or equivalent; advanced degrees are beneficial.
- Experience with membership or program-based business models and preparing companies for investment or sale through clean reporting and process documentation.
