CCTV Security & Surveillance Installation Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled CCTV Security and Surveillance Installation Engineer capable of independently installing, configuring, integrating, and troubleshooting complete CCTV security systems. This technical position requires visiting customer sites, understanding their security needs, and ensuring efficient system functioning.

Primary Responsibilities

• Set up and configure IP, Wi-Fi, HD, and PTZ CCTV cameras.
• Execute all aspects of CCTV wiring, including cabling, termination, and testing.
• Install, troubleshoot, and configure Network Video Recorders (NVRs) and Digital Video Recorders (DVRs).
• Manage IP address assignment, networking, switches, routers, and enable remote viewing capabilities.
• Configure surveillance systems on mobile phones, computers, and monitoring platforms.
• Diagnose and solve issues related to cameras, recording devices, networks, power supply, and cabling.
• Perform preventive system maintenance and health checks.
• Visit client locations to assess security requirements and conduct site surveys to recommend camera placements and solutions.
• Collaborate with sales and technical teams to ensure project success.
• Participate actively in team installations and larger projects.
• Educate customers on basic system operation and usage.
• Maintain high-quality installations, proper documentation, and site discipline.

Additional Skills Advantageous

• Familiarity with Access Control Systems.
• Experience with EPABX / IP-PBX Systems.
• Knowledge of Home Automation technologies.
• Understanding of UPS and Power Backup Solutions.
• Familiarity with Fire Alarm and Fire Safety Systems.
• Networking skills, including switches, routers, and structured cabling.
• Exposure to smart security and IoT-based systems.

Qualifications

• Degree is not a mandatory requirement.
• ITI, Diploma, relevant technical training, or hands-on experience is a plus.
• Good communication skills preferred; fluent English not mandatory.
• Should communicate with customers in Kannada and basic English.
• Possession of a valid two-wheeler and driving license is required.

Experience

Preference for candidates experienced in CCTV installation, networking, security systems, or electrical/electronic work. Fresh candidates demonstrating strong technical interest and a foundational understanding in electronics or networking, coupled with enthusiasm to learn, are encouraged to apply.
