Position Summary
We seek a full-time, on-site CCTV and ELV Engineer in Qatar to oversee design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of CCTV and various ELV systems. Responsibilities include site surveys, preparing technical documentation and drawings, and adherence to project and safety standards. The role demands troubleshooting, routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and coordination with project teams, vendors, and clients for efficient project delivery. Additional duties cover testing, commissioning, handover, and providing technical support to colleagues.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient in CCTV and ELV system technologies, such as access control, intrusion alarms, public address, and structured cabling.
- Experience with IP surveillance systems, NVR/DVR setups, networking basics (TCP/IP, VLANs, PoE), and IT infrastructure integration.
- Able to interpret and prepare technical drawings, schematics, BOQs, and comprehensive documentation.
- Skilled in use of installation and testing instruments, site surveys, problem-solving, and root cause analyses.
- Educational background includes a diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, IT, or related fields; certifications in ELV, CCTV, or networking are advantageous.
- Understanding of industry norms, local compliance regulations, quality control, and safety practices for low-voltage systems.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork capabilities for coordination with diverse project groups and client communication.
- Time management and multitasking skills with a readiness to work under varying on-site conditions to meet deadlines.
- Prior work in the MENA region or Qatar with familiarity of local environment is desirable.
