Job Role Summary
The Category Specialist position focuses on expert insights in the Coffee and Tea categories to support growth and portfolio development. Collaborating with category leads and retail partners, the specialist will drive sales advancement by providing market intelligence and data analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Ongoing analysis of market trends alongside performance data of JDE coffee and tea products shared with key stakeholders.
- Participation and support in innovation initiatives to enhance category offerings.
- Providing data-driven insights and tools to optimize foundational sales activities within the business.
- Building a reputation as an internal authority on data sources and category knowledge across teams.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a field closely related to the role.
- Practical experience in the FMCG sector with familiarity in data analytics platforms such as Nielsen/IRI, Dunnhumby, or Quantium.
- Demonstrated critical thinking ability to extract actionable conclusions from extensive datasets.
- Capability to juggle multiple projects and adhere to strict deadlines.
- A mindset geared towards continuous improvement coupled with strong communication skills.
- Possession of a valid unrestricted work visa for New Zealand is mandatory.
