Cashier - School Cafeteria General Help

Position Overview

Aramark Canada is seeking a full-time cashier to support operations at a high school cafeteria in Kingston, Ontario. This role involves working weekday mornings following the school calendar with weekends, public holidays, and summer breaks off. The schedule is from 7:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude with guests, students, coworkers, and other clients.
• Operate the cashier station efficiently during the fast-paced lunch hour, handling cash and debit transactions.
• Ensure that coolers and warmers are consistently stocked with food items.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, pots, pans, and silverware to meet food safety standards.
• Follow Aramark's safety policies and food handling procedures to maintain a safe and sanitary working environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience handling cashier duties including cash and debit machine transactions is required.
• Completion of a valid food handlers course is mandatory.
• A friendly disposition and genuine interest in working with children is essential.

Additional Information

Compensation: This position offers an hourly wage of $18.18.

Schedule: Monday to Friday mornings, off on statutory holidays and during summer breaks as per school scheduling.
