Role Overview

Join the Business Banking team located in New Plymouth, a dynamic regional commercial hub in New Zealand. Exceptional candidates may also consider placement in Wellington. Key Duties

  • Manage and develop strong connections with business clientele across diverse industries.
  • Recognize client requirements and offer customized banking and lending solutions.
  • Compose detailed credit proposals and lending recommendations.
  • Proactively engage to expand and maintain a portfolio of business customers.
  • Collaborate with Westpac's specialized teams to ensure outstanding customer results.
  • Drive business progression through balance sheet expansion and capturing market opportunities.
  • Deliver excellent customer experiences and actively participate in continuous improvement efforts.
  • Uphold rigorous risk management practices and ensure adherence to banking regulations and internal policies.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in business or commercial banking or related financial services.
  • Strong skills in lending and credit evaluation.
  • Competent in interpreting and analyzing business financial statements.
  • Track record of cultivating trusted client relationships and exceptional service delivery.
  • Effective stakeholder engagement and negotiation capabilities.
  • Able to work independently yet collaborate well within teams.
  • Proactive in identifying risks and making ethical decisions.
  • Passionate about supporting New Zealand businesses and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Confident in engaging with business owners and providing commercially viable solutions.
