Job description

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager based in Doha to spearhead strategic growth and manage construction projects for Nebras Energy across multiple international regions including GCC, EMEA, Americas, and APAC. This role involves leading global business development initiatives, supervising construction pipelines, assessing technical feasibility, and fostering partnerships with developers and governmental organizations to acquire high-value energy and water assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead global business development efforts to identify and secure new opportunities in power and water assets across Qatar, EMEA, Americas, and APAC.
  • Oversee and coordinate all construction site activities alongside the Head of Construction to ensure timelines, specifications, and budgets are met.
  • Report weekly on construction progress, strategic plans, technical evaluations, and financial implications to the Chief Business Development Officer.
  • Manage contract and technical negotiations for joint ventures with contractors, developers, and buyers.
  • Analyze EPC contractor progress reports, identify major issues, and conduct comprehensive market trend research.
  • Deliver detailed technical feasibility studies, risk assessments, and collaborate with M&A and Finance teams to verify financial viability.
  • Formulate departmental strategies, manage the annual budget, and monitor financial performance versus targets.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Economics is compulsory.
  • At least 8 years of experience in corporate growth and asset development within large multinational companies.
  • In-depth knowledge of the power, energy, and water utilities sectors as well as construction expertise is mandatory.
  • Minimum 3 years in leadership or department management roles.
  • Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and communication skills suited for senior executives and culturally diverse teams.
  • Fluent English is required; Arabic language skills are an advantageous plus.
  • Familiarity with business cultures in Qatar, GCC, and key international markets.
