Role Overview
We seek a Business Development Manager to spearhead Shockbyte's growth within the B2B gaming segment. The position involves establishing and nurturing partnerships with game studios, promoting our proprietary orchestration platform, Shockbyte for Game Studios, and serving as the main liaison for our strategic partners. This role blends sales development and partnership oversight, from securing exclusive server hosting deals to representing us at major gaming conventions internationally.
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the full sales cycle targeting game studios, from generating leads to finalizing collaborations.
- Obtain exclusive partnerships where Shockbyte becomes the principal server hosting provider for partnering studios.
- Champion the adoption of the Shockbyte for Game Studios orchestration platform among new and existing partners.
- Serve as the primary contact for top-tier partners, fostering strong, ongoing relationships until account managers take over.
- Attend notable gaming events worldwide such as GDC and Gamescom, conducting consecutive meetings and live demonstrations.
- Handle contracts and formal agreements with studios and other external collaborators.
- Deliver persuasive presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations to executives and development teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated success in business development, sales, or partnership roles, preferably within gaming or tech sectors.
- In-depth understanding of the gaming industry and experience with major industry events.
- Outgoing personality comfortable engaging in constant networking and high-volume meetings.
- Proficient in presenting, product demonstrations, and deal negotiation.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Self-driven with experience managing a structured sales pipeline effectively.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail for travel, meeting schedules, and follow-up management.

- Experience in media relations or public relations.
- Background in SaaS, cloud infrastructure, or server hosting.
- An existing network within the gaming industry.
- Multilingual communication abilities.
