Role Overview
As an integral member of the Data & AI team, you will be instrumental in transforming Genesis’s approach to data management and utilization across the organization. Collaborating with business stakeholders, Data Architects, Data Engineers, and Analysts, you will help migrate and structure data into a centralized Data Platform, producing scalable and automated data solutions that enable trustworthy business insights. Additionally, you will support emerging AI initiatives that improve data use and reporting across the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine existing data sources, models, reporting workflows, and business rules to find areas for enhancement.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather and clarify business, data, and reporting requirements, translating these into detailed user stories, process flow diagrams, acceptance criteria, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with Data Architects and Engineers to facilitate data migration, transformation, optimization, data mapping, reconciliation, and application of transformation rules within the Genesis Data Platform.
- Assist in delivering automated, scalable data and reporting solutions that replace legacy reporting tools with modern analytics capabilities.
- Conduct data profiling, quality assessments, testing, and business validations, identifying risks, dependencies, and opportunities to strengthen governance and reporting.
- Promote cooperation between business and technical teams, driving ongoing improvements in data accessibility, reporting effectiveness, business intelligence, and the adoption of Data & AI tools.
Candidate Profile
- Experience as a Business Analyst delivering technology or data-driven projects.
- Proven skills in gathering and documenting business intelligence and reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret complex datasets and intricate business processes.
- Comfortable working closely with technical and data delivery teams.
- Familiarity with reporting platforms or modern data technologies like Databricks is a strong advantage.
- A keen interest in data, analytics, and innovative technologies including AI is highly desirable.
