Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Building Craftsperson specializing in painting to join our team at Wansbeck General Hospital as well as community hospitals including Alnwick, Berwick, Blyth, and Rothbury. This role involves collaboration with the existing maintenance crew to uphold the upkeep and repair of hospital facilities and ancillary buildings.
Working Hours and Responsibilities
This part-time position requires 37.5 hours weekly from Monday to Friday. The individual will also participate in an emergency maintenance on-call rotation to provide out-of-hours support as necessary.
Job Duties
- Perform daily maintenance tasks on building structures and components across both Trust and non-Trust sites.
- Engage in installation assignments as required.
- Participate actively in an on-call estate maintenance rota to address urgent maintenance issues outside normal working hours.
Candidate Profile
- Extensive experience in building maintenance services, specifically painting.
- Adaptable with the capability to juggle multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Proficient with computers and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate clearly with technical peers and non-technical staff alike.
