Role overview
This position focuses on billing, quantity surveying, cost tracking, and financial coordination for construction projects. The role requires close interaction with site and project teams to ensure measurements, bills, reconciliations, and reports are accurate and aligned with project progress.
Billing and certification
- Prepare and review running account bills, subcontractor bills, work orders, and final bills using site measurements and actual project progress.
- Assess extra-item claims, deviation statements, and escalation-related charges through proper rate analysis.
- Build and maintain bills of quantities by taking precise measurements and quantity take-offs from structural and architectural drawings.
Cost control and reconciliation
- Track theoretical vs. actual consumption of key materials such as cement and steel/BBS to identify wastage and recover excess cost where needed.
- Keep project expenditure under control by comparing actual spending with the approved budget.
- Monitor cash flow, prepare forecast updates, and support the finance team during payment receipt audits.
Coordination and reporting
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, procurement, and planning teams to synchronize physical progress with financial reporting.
- Prepare regular MIS reports covering billing progress, material status, and productivity analysis.
Preferred profile
The ideal candidate should have a background in civil engineering or architecture, with strong exposure to quantity surveying, billing, and project cost control on large residential or commercial structures, especially high-rise projects. Experience with Mivan construction is an advantage. The role also calls for strong command over Excel, AutoCAD, and construction or accounting ERP tools, along with a practical understanding of contract terms, RERA requirements, and standards such as IS 1200.
Additional information
Compensation is listed at INR 7,00,000 to INR 11,00,000 per year.
