Bid Manager (m/w/d)

Position Overview

Join CMS IT-Consulting GmbH as a Bid Manager, responsible for managing and coordinating public tenders and bids within the IT infrastructure sector. This role requires fluency in German and English, strong technical understanding of IT networks, and excellent organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently handle and coordinate public procurement processes (VgV, UVgO, national and European tenders).
• Analyze tender documents and verify technical, commercial, and formal requirements.
• Obtain necessary reference approvals.
• Prepare, calculate, and compile complex proposals in collaboration with sales, consulting, and technical teams.
• Manage the entire bid process from tender analysis through timely submission.
• Request, evaluate, and coordinate manufacturer offers with suppliers and distributors.
• Maintain and improve offer templates, calculation models, and tender standards.
• Support the sales team with proposal presentations, contract documentation, and customer inquiries.
• Manage deadlines rigorously, ensuring high offer quality and compliance.

Candidate Profile

• Successfully completed commercial or technical training or degree in IT, business, or a comparable field.
• Preferably some experience in bid management, inside sales, or handling public tenders.
• Technical aptitude regarding IT infrastructure, networking, and security solutions.
• Work in a structured, accurate, and autonomous manner.
• Strong organizational ability with a focus on quality.
• Excellent communication skills and enjoyment in collaborating across departments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Fluent German (written and spoken) and good command of English.

Additional Desired Qualifications

• Experience with public procurement procedures and electronic tender platforms.
• Knowledge in cost calculation for complex IT projects.
• Understanding of manufacturer programs and licensing models of leading IT vendors.
• High self-motivation and ability to maintain composure under pressure.
