Role Overview

The Barista will prepare and serve a variety of coffees and beverages, assist with light food preparation and presentation, and ensure the service area is clean and well-stocked. Daily duties include operating espresso machines and café equipment, maintaining hygiene standards, welcoming guests, taking orders, handling payments, and delivering attentive customer service to foster a positive experience. The position is full-time, on-site at Cafe Trofima in Mumbai, with flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as necessary.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in brewing coffee, operating beverage equipment, and understanding standard drink recipes.
• Knowledge of food preparation along with food safety and hygiene principles.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills to engage guests courteously and professionally.
• Clear communication abilities for order taking, teamwork coordination, and managing customer questions.
• Additional advantages include prior experience in café or restaurant settings, stamina for standing long hours, basic arithmetic for cash handling, and fluency in English and local languages.
