Role Overview
We are seeking dynamic and experienced Bar Attendants to join the Hospitality & Events team at the Australian Turf Club during the lively Spring Carnival season. This role involves providing excellent bar service to guests attending various functions, events, dining areas, and public bars at Royal Randwick and Rosehill Gardens racecourses.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding bar service in fast-paced environments during race days and events.
- Manage beverage service efficiently to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Operate in high-energy settings at multiple locations including Royal Randwick and Rosehill Gardens.
Requirements
- Current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
- Prior experience working in bustling bar settings such as functions, restaurant bars, pubs, or clubs.
- Basic knowledge of wines is essential.
- Strong customer communication skills and professional demeanor.
- Ability to learn quickly and maintain a high standard of personal presentation.
- Additional skills such as cocktail preparation, keg handling, and operation of post-mix beverage systems are advantageous but not mandatory.
Shift Availability
Flexible casual shifts starting from August onwards are available, focusing on day shifts during at least five of the following race days:
- Sat 19 Sept – Royal Randwick
- Sat 26 Sept – Rosehill Gardens
- Sat 3 Oct – Royal Randwick
- Sat 10 Oct – Rosehill Gardens
- Sat 17 Oct – Royal Randwick
- Sat 24 Oct – Royal Randwick
- Sat 31 Oct – Rosehill Gardens
- Tue 3 Nov – Royal Randwick
- Sat 7 Nov – Rosehill Gardens
