Bakery Assistant - Leixlip Distribution Center

Role overview

Applegreen’s Leixlip distribution centre has been serving its nationwide network since 2009. In 2024, the site added an in-house bakery, which has already achieved strong results and more than 600% growth in its first year.

The business is now hiring a Bakery Assistant to support the team at the Leixlip Distribution Centre. This is a hands-on role in a compact, supportive team where you will help prepare and finish bakery items for distribution.

Working schedule

This is a full-time position with fixed weekday hours: Monday to Friday, 2:00pm to 8:00pm. There is no weekend work involved.

What the role involves

• Supporting a six-person team in the site’s in-house bakery
• Assisting with the baking and final preparation of pre-made bakery products
• Working under the direction of the Bakery Manager and Supervisor
• Following set weekday hours with no weekend shifts

What the employer is looking for

The ideal candidate will already have experience in a bakery or deli setting. They should be dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working collaboratively in a small team. A strong eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality items are also important.
