Position Overview
The Associate Creative Director (ACD) of Social will be a pivotal member of our social media team, responsible for crafting, pitching, and executing engaging, timely, and trend-driven social content. This role emphasizes strategic social listening, data-informed content optimization, and working across departments to deliver top-tier results for prominent brands.
The ACD will oversee creation of social media assets, develop content series tailored to specific platforms, and foster measurable engagement on both established and emerging social channels. This role fuses strategic planning with practical creative execution to maintain alignment with clients' broader marketing goals.
Location and Compensation
This full-time contract role, lasting through the end of 2026 with the possibility of becoming permanent, offers an annual salary range of $120,000 to $145,000 based on experience. Our agency operates in a hybrid model, requiring two office days per week at our Echo Park location in Los Angeles.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy and execution of social media content for multiple clients.
- Generate high-impact, real-time social media creative that captivates audiences.
- Create platform-specific content optimized for Instagram, TikTok, X, Threads, and YouTube Shorts, leveraging unique platform features for maximum engagement.
- Offer creative insights and optimization strategies based on performance analytics and industry standards.
- Track cultural trends, breaking news, and updates on social platforms to inform content creation and identify opportunities.
- Manage client social media accounts collaboratively with other departments to ensure marketing alignment.
- Function as the primary social media liaison for client communications, developing solutions as necessary.
- Develop and manage editorial calendars that align with brand and campaign goals.
- Support content publication and community engagement efforts, maintaining consistent brand voice and standards.
- Assist in presenting strategic approaches and performance reports to both clients and internal teams.
- Lead and mentor junior social media and content creation staff.
Qualifications
- 7 to 8 years of experience in social media creative development and marketing, with at least half in a senior or associate creative director capacity.
- Demonstrated success in producing and implementing effective social media creative.
- Ability to swiftly create engaging, social-first content that drives audience interaction.
- Strong analytical capabilities with proficiency in interpreting social media metrics and reports.
- Expertise with major social platforms, particularly Instagram and TikTok.
- Familiarity with social media management and analytics platforms such as Sprout, Sprinklr, and Meta Business Suite.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience delivering presentations to clients and stakeholders.
- Proven talent in growing and sustaining social media audiences.
- Deep knowledge of social media best practices and platform-specific demands.
- Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
