Job description

Overview

The Public Health Operational Policy Division (PHOPD) strengthens policies, operational procedures, and capabilities in sanitation and vector control to address current and future challenges. This division enforces compliance within the cleaning industry licensing framework by conducting audits, investigations, and enforcement actions. Within the Sanitation and Industry Policy Department, the role focuses on regulating the cleaning industry to ensure delivery of high service standards that support a clean and liveable environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and execute compliance audits and investigations concerning cleaning service providers and clients.
  • Initiate enforcement measures against violators.
  • Aggregate and interpret compliance data and identify trends.
  • Respond to feedback from cleaning companies, clients, and related stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with licensing and policy teams for the formulation and implementation of updated or new policies.
  • Plan and implement collaborative outreach programs targeting stakeholders within the cleaning sector.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong capabilities in both written and verbal communication.
  • Analytical aptitude to generate enforcement statistics and conduct data synthesis and interpretation.
  • Cultivate critical thinking with keen attention to detail; proficient in problem-solving and managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Mature, self-directed, and effective team player.
  • Resourceful, observant, and meticulous in approach.
  • Willing and able to travel to cleaning companies’ offices and operational sites.
  • Preferably possess a minimum of two years public health work experience.
