About the organization
Tata Steel Foundation (TSF), set up on 16 August 2016, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Steel Limited that carries out CSR implementation for Tata Steel. It is a Section 8 company and has grown into a multi-location organization with a presence across Odisha, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Bengal, Punjab, and Delhi-NCR. Role overview
This fixed-term contract role is based in West Bokaro, Jharkhand. The position is responsible for managing the complete supply chain cycle for the West Bokaro unit, including procurement, sourcing, supplier coordination, and store-related operations.
Key responsibilities
- Lead sustainable sourcing efforts and ensure suppliers meet compliance standards.
- Negotiate for the best possible combination of quality, service, and price for supplies, works, and services.
- Prepare and manage contracts and purchase orders.
- Handle purchasing, storage, and issue of materials and services in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
- Work with vendors to support and strengthen development commitments.
- Coordinate closely with programme partners, suppliers, and industry stakeholders to meet procurement priorities and commitments and help shape the future intervention framework.
- Keep internal teams informed about procurement processes, procedures, and any updates or changes.
- Maintain zero-fatality standards across purchasing, stores, and the workplace.
Qualifications and experience
A full-time bachelor’s degree in any discipline is required. The role is open to candidates with 0 to 4 years of experience in supply chain functions.
Technical skills
The role calls for strength in strategic sourcing and procurement, supplier compliance and risk handling, SAP MM module usage, contract negotiation, and vendor/stakeholder collaboration.
