Position Overview
The National University of Singapore is seeking an Assistant Manager to join the Research Compliance and Integrity Office (RCIO) within the Office of the Deputy President (Research & Technology). This executive and administrative role is based on the Kent Ridge Campus and involves collaborating with other research integrity managers to uphold research ethics and integrity university-wide.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the university's research ethics training initiative by ensuring the smooth operation of the "Responsible Conduct of Research" program, assisting NUS staff and students, managing related queries, updating participant tracking platforms, and maintaining the designated Box account.
- Keep comprehensive and current records in RCIO databases related to whistleblower complaints, case precedents, and confidential communications.
- Provide administrative assistance during preliminary investigations into research misconduct, including maintaining case files and documentation aligned with required formats and guidelines.
- Support inter-unit coordination for reviews and investigations across multiple entities such as RCIO, IACUC, IRB, OHR, ORMC, PVO, and various Research Institutes, Schools, and Departments, including organizing relevant meetings.
- Contribute to RCIO-led initiatives that promote research integrity throughout the university, which may involve outreach activities, events, and conferences.
Qualifications and Skills
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in administrative roles.
- Proficient with information technology tools and digital platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive and confidential information responsibly.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A proactive, detail-oriented, and effective team collaborator.
