Assistant Manager - Rainbow Beach Hotel

About the role

The Rainbow Beach Hotel is seeking an energetic Assistant Manager to help lead its well-known timber hotel in Inskip, Queensland. Located close to one of Australia’s most stunning beaches, this role offers the opportunity to manage a busy venue that has a holiday feel while still being a serious operation.

This position suits someone who wants a supportive workplace where people are valued as part of the team. The hotel also offers a schedule without late-night graveyard shifts, giving you the chance to oversee a large venue and still maintain a healthy life outside work.

What you’ll do

• Build strong relationships with regular guests and become a familiar face in the local community.
• Work alongside the Publican to ensure the venue operates safely, efficiently, and with a positive atmosphere.
• Develop your understanding of Publican responsibilities while guiding a team of hospitality professionals.
• Address issues early and prevent small problems from becoming larger operational concerns.
• Bring energy, strong service, and a welcoming attitude to every shift.

Requirements

This is a practical, hands-on role that includes manual handling as part of day-to-day duties. You must be able to safely and efficiently lift and move items such as stock, kegs, and deliveries.

About you

• You have experience in bar, bistro, or gaming environments and may already have supervised others.
• You have learned from capable managers and are now ready to take the next step in your career.
• You are confident, customer-focused, and able to represent the venue when senior management is not present.
• You hold a current RSA, RSG, RMLV, and an Approved Managers Licence in line with state requirements.
