Role Overview

The Assistant Manager position is a full-time, onsite role stationed in Bengaluru. The incumbent will supervise daily logistics operations, including dispatch coordination, monitoring shipment progression, and ensuring compliance with service-level agreements. Responsibilities include leadership of a small team, resource allocation, and aiding process enhancement efforts aimed at boosting operational efficiency and accuracy.

Key Duties

• Oversee and manage day-to-day logistics workflows, ensuring smooth dispatch and shipment tracking.
• Lead and allocate tasks to a small operational team while driving process improvements.
• Monitor key performance metrics and prepare detailed operational reports.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with warehouse, transportation, and customer service departments.
• Interact regularly with clients and internal stakeholders to address and resolve operational issues.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience supervising operations teams with effective delegation and performance oversight.
• Background in logistics, supply chain, or operations management, preferably within high-volume or e-commerce sectors.
• Strong analytical and reporting expertise, including proficiency with spreadsheets, dashboards, and basic data analytics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for coordination with vendors, internal teams, and customers.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, especially under pressure and managing escalations.
• Comfortable using technology tools and logistics management systems; knowledge of ERP or warehouse management software is beneficial.
• A bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, operations, or related disciplines; relevant certifications are an advantage.
• Willingness to work onsite in Bengaluru, maintain flexibility for operational demands, and adhere to safety and compliance protocols.
