About the Role
This position is for a proactive and practical Assistant Manager in Business Development who will help grow a car-sharing network and build strategic collaborations. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the role is central to bringing in new locations, expanding the vehicle fleet, and creating partnerships that improve user growth and engagement.
The work is highly cross-functional and very hands-on, so it calls for excellent communication, negotiation, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities.
Key Responsibilities
Site acquisition and network growth
- Find, approach, and secure new car-sharing sites through discussions with landlords, property owners, and asset managers.
- Handle the full partner conversation cycle, including negotiations, business terms, approvals, and contract completion.
- Work with internal teams such as operations, legal, finance, and technical teams to make sure each location launches smoothly.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords and partners to support long-term growth of the network.
Fleet acquisition and vendor coordination
- Identify vehicle rental and leasing opportunities with fleet partners and leasing firms.
- Help scale the fleet by leading commercial discussions, pricing, contract terms, and onboarding workflows.
- Coordinate operational tasks such as payment handling, documentation, vehicle data collection, and handover to internal teams.
- Partner with operations and finance to ensure vehicles are deployed efficiently and without delays.
Partnerships and growth initiatives
- Develop partnerships with aligned brands and businesses that can help with user acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Organise marketing tie-ups, promotional initiatives, and partnership activations.
- Manage partner discussions from initial proposal through execution and follow-up after the campaign ends.
- Review partnership results and look for ways to expand or deepen collaboration.
General duties
- Create proposals, presentations, commercial summaries, and partner-facing materials.
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to support successful partnership campaigns.
- Keep clear and accurate records of negotiations, contracts, and partner communications.
- Assist the Business Development Manager with strategic work and other special assignments as needed.
Requirements
- A diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Between 1 and 3 years of experience in business development, partnerships, account management, sales, or a similar area.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with solid negotiation and stakeholder management capability.
- Well organised, detail-oriented, and able to juggle several projects at the same time.
- Comfortable in a fast-moving environment with a strong operational focus.
- Self-driven, adaptable, and able to work independently.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Valid Class 3 driving licence.

This role is based in Singapore and is a full-time onsite position.
