Assistant AC Technician

Job Overview

This role involves assisting with HVAC system maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance within cleanroom and production environments, primarily supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Support maintenance and daily operations of HVAC components including AHUs, FCUs, exhaust systems, and chilled water setups.
• Participate in both preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
• Monitor HVAC system parameters consistently and escalate any irregularities observed.
• Assist in routine tasks such as filter changes, cleaning, and basic diagnostics on HVAC systems.
• Help maintain environmental standards in cleanrooms and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Collaborate with supervisory and maintenance teams during facility shutdowns and scheduled maintenance.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and pharmaceutical GMP at all times.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a diploma or technical certification in Mechanical or HVAC engineering.
• One to three years of relevant experience in AC or HVAC maintenance roles.
• Preferred exposure to pharmaceutical, healthcare, or cleanroom environments.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and related maintenance tools.
• Good communication skills and ability to work cooperatively within a team.
• Flexibility to work shifts if required.

Additional Skills

• Knowledge of preventive maintenance strategies.
• Familiarity with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) is considered an asset.
