Job description
Role Overview
Wood is actively seeking an experienced Area Lead to contribute to the execution of our Projects business by managing the development of a new gold mining and processing facility. Initially, the role will be office-based in Al Khobar, Riyadh, or Jubail before transitioning to a site-based position in Saudi Arabia, operating on an 8/2 rotation schedule during construction and pre-commissioning phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the construction and installation of thickener mechanisms.
- Coordinate activities across civil, mechanical, and Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) disciplines.
- Manage mechanical completion processes and ensure readiness for testing.
- Provide support during the commissioning handover phase.
- Apply expertise in thickener components including rakes, drive units, feedwells, and overflow systems.
Candidate Profile

- At least 16 years of relevant experience in the industry.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Proven experience with thickener systems in mining/process plants or analogous expertise in oil & gas sectors, especially involving clarifiers, separators, or large-scale mechanical units, along with a solid understanding of process safety and intricate mechanical systems.
