About the role
In this position, you will help strengthen the quality and dependability of software products through API-focused automation testing. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to integration and functionality validation, and support delivery of solutions that meet user expectations.
What you will do
- Create, maintain, and run automated API test scripts using Postman and Rest Assured.
- Work with development teams to understand testing needs and build detailed test plans.
- Review test outcomes, log defects, and coordinate with developers to help close issues.
- Improve testing frameworks and workflows to make them more effective and efficient.
- Take part in code reviews and share feedback to support testability and quality standards.
Minimum qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in B.Tech, BCA, B.E., or B.Sc. is required.
- Hands-on experience in API automation, especially using Rest Assured.
- Good analytical thinking and sharp attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred experience
- Experience working with Postman and Rest Assured to build reliable test scripts.
- A track record of improving testing approaches and processes.
- Comfort working in Agile teams and adjusting to evolving requirements.
