The Development and Alumni Relations Office (DARO) manages fundraising and alumni engagement efforts, aiming to nurture and maximize alumni goodwill and support for the University's future.

Role Overview

As an Alumni Relations Coordinator reporting to the Alumni Engagement Manager, you will contribute to building and maintaining a professional, engaged network of alumni and friends of the University. Your work will support the growth of alumni engagement initiatives aligned to the University's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong collaborative relationships within the DARO team.
• Coordinate effectively with the Alumni Engagement team, departments, and divisions across the university to promote engagement activities.
• Provide administrative and project assistance to the Alumni Manager to facilitate diverse alumni engagement programs and projects.

Required Skills and Experience

• Exceptional communication capabilities, accompanied by strong organizational, administrative, and project planning expertise.
• Ability to think strategically while managing and executing tactical tasks with efficiency.
• A collaborative and solution-oriented approach, capable of fostering productive relationships and managing multiple stakeholders.
• Experience with AI-enabled technology tools and contemporary communication platforms is beneficial.
• Prior involvement in client-focused programs, event coordination, or partnership development is advantageous.

Additional Information

• This full-time, permanent position involves working 37.5 hours per week on-site in Dunedin.
• The salary band for this role ranges from NZD 69,931 to NZD 74,609, with a top salary of NZD 80,285.
