AI Security Expert

Role overview

This is a consulting assignment in Doha, Qatar, supporting a large enterprise with the rollout of artificial intelligence, generative AI, and intelligent automation across the organization. The engagement is aimed at building strong security, governance, and control practices for modern AI platforms.

The consultant will help define how AI is secured across the full lifecycle, covering design, development, deployment, monitoring, governance, and incident response. The work involves close coordination with AI engineers, enterprise architects, cybersecurity teams, and business stakeholders to make sure solutions are implemented safely, responsibly, and in line with enterprise risk and governance expectations.

This opportunity is suited to professionals who have practical experience protecting generative AI, large language model platforms, AI governance programs, AI threat modelling, and Responsible AI initiatives in enterprise settings. The assignment runs for 12 months and is onsite.

AI security architecture

• Evaluate the security posture of agent-based AI solutions, AI-as-a-Service offerings, and built-in AI features.
• Review proposed AI architectures to confirm they are designed and deployed securely.
• Suggest security controls tailored to AI that align with broader enterprise cybersecurity standards.
• Help with secure adoption of tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ServiceNow AI, Snowflake AI capabilities, and similar enterprise AI platforms.

AI threat modelling

• Carry out threat modelling across the full AI lifecycle for applications and intelligent systems.
• Spot attack paths, weaknesses, and AI-specific exposure points.
• Design mitigation approaches for AI workloads and large language model implementations.
• Contribute to secure-by-design practices throughout the AI development lifecycle.

AI governance and Responsible AI

• Set up secure governance practices for AI datasets.
• Build Responsible AI controls and governance structures.
• Define standards for secure AI architecture, hosting, and development.
• Support AI risk management and compliance efforts.
• Recommend best practices for deploying AI across the enterprise.

Incident response and security operations

• Create AI-specific incident detection and response plans.
• Prepare playbooks and procedures for responding to AI security events.
• Support monitoring, threat detection, and readiness activities for AI systems.
• Recommend controls for model deployment and ongoing operational monitoring.

Stakeholder advisory

• Work with AI engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, and business teams.
• Advise on AI security strategy and governance.
• Take part in architecture reviews and AI security assessments.
• Prepare documentation, security recommendations, governance standards, and architecture guidance.

Experience and availability

The role calls for around 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience securing enterprise AI platforms, generative AI solutions, or intelligent automation technologies. Experience with agent-based AI, AI-as-a-Service, or embedded AI capabilities is important. Strong knowledge of AI threat modelling, secure AI architecture, AI security controls, Responsible AI, and AI governance is expected. Candidates should also be familiar with AI incident response planning, dataset governance, secure AI development, and AI deployment practices.

Exposure to Microsoft Copilot, ServiceNow AI, Snowflake AI, or comparable enterprise AI platforms is highly desirable. Familiarity with LLM security, AI risk management, and new AI threat patterns will be an advantage. The client also expects strong communication and documentation skills, along with experience in enterprise or consulting environments. Immediate or short-notice availability is preferred.
