Role Purpose
The Retail Consultant role centers on welcoming customers into the store and engaging with them attentively. You will guide customers to select products suitable to their needs, creating meaningful interactions that deepen their connection with Aesop’s offerings. Demonstrating products effectively, you will ensure an exceptional and inclusive buying experience, contributing directly to the company's commercial success.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
- Utilize prior customer service experience to engage effectively with clients.
- Employ strong selling techniques to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Collaborate well within a team environment, contributing positively.
- Apply empathy-driven interpersonal skills to foster a welcoming and inclusive customer experience.
- Demonstrate an open-minded and curious attitude aimed at understanding diverse perspectives and listening without bias.

- Having knowledge of skincare and the broader skincare industry is a valuable asset.
- Familiarity with hair care, body care, fragrance, and home product categories is advantageous.
Working Hours and Location
This is a part-time position that requires onsite presence at Commercial Bay, Auckland. The weekly schedule totals 29 hours:
- Monday: 11:00 AM – 6:15 PM
- Thursday: 12:00 PM – 7:15 PM
- Friday: 10:00 AM – 7:15 PM
- Sunday: 10:00 AM – 5:15 PM
