Job Summary
Boart Longyear seeks a full-time Administrative Assistant for its Haileybury, Ontario office to support the Shop Supervisor and the Regional Fleet and Asset Manager.
Responsibilities
- Provide efficient administrative assistance to the Shop Supervisor and Regional Fleet and Asset Manager.
- Manage scheduling, purchase order processing, and monitor work order progress.
- Support Preventative Maintenance and Enterprise Asset Management activities.
- Perform essential clerical duties including filing, typing, copying, binding, and scanning.
- Maintain courteous and professional communication via phone, email, and mail.
- Contribute to team organization and effective communication.
- Utilize various software tools for word processing, spreadsheets, databases, graphics, and desktop publishing.
- Operate common office equipment such as computers, scanners, copiers, calculators, and fax machines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification is mandatory.
- Between 1 to 3 years of experience as an administrative assistant.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other IT applications.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and time management capabilities.
- Effective, professional communication skills for interaction with clients and company personnel.
- Ability to perform in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
