About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Account Manager to enhance our expanding Auckland team and contribute significantly to Thrive's progressive journey in Aotearoa New Zealand. This role is ideal for a communications enthusiast passionate about cultivating trusted client partnerships, crafting compelling narratives, and executing integrated campaigns that attract attention. The position involves managing day-to-day activities for multiple client accounts across earned media, social media, influencer engagement, and integrated communications, collaborating closely with both local colleagues and our Australian counterparts.

What You Will Do
Client Service & Campaign Delivery
- Oversee the daily management of a diverse client account portfolio, nurturing strong relationships and delivering outstanding service.
- Coordinate integrated campaigns across earned media, social platforms, influencer outreach, and digital channels, ensuring timely, on-brief, and client-aligned execution.
- Compile and present client reports, meeting agendas, and progress updates, maintaining proactive communication about campaign progress and forthcoming steps.
- Spot opportunities to enhance campaign outcomes through strategic insights, cultural awareness, and creative initiatives.
Media Relations, Content & Storytelling
- Produce engaging media content including press releases, feature articles, media pitches, and briefing materials.
- Establish and maintain strong connections with journalists, influencers, and content creators throughout New Zealand.
- Identify and leverage opportunities for generating meaningful earned media coverage supporting multi-channel integrated campaigns.
- Assist in organizing and executing events, activations, and campaign launches with meticulous attention to detail.
Commercial & Operational Excellence
- Assist with budget oversight by tracking project expenses, obtaining supplier quotes, and ensuring precise project documentation.
- Complete administrative tasks such as timesheets, project reports, and monthly closures accurately and punctually.
- Prioritize and organize multiple responsibilities while upholding high standards of client deliverables.
- Adopt new technologies and Thrive systems to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
Business Development & Growth
- Support new business initiatives by contributing research, concept development, and aiding in proposal and pitch preparations.
- Stay current with industry trends, cultural movements, and market shifts to identify growth opportunities for clients and the agency.
- Represent Thrive with professionalism within the communications sector, elevating your profile and supporting the agency’s expansion in New Zealand.

Your Profile
- At least three years of experience within a PR or integrated communications agency setting.
- Relevant tertiary education in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related fields.
- Proven ability managing integrated communications campaigns across earned, social, and influencer channels.
- Strong writing capabilities demonstrated through creating media releases, pitches, reports, and client communications.
- Existing or developing relationships with New Zealand media and influencer networks.
- Excellent organizational skills, adept at handling multiple projects and competing deadlines.
- Commercial awareness with understanding of budgeting, campaign management, and reporting.
- A proactive and team-oriented attitude combined with a passion for communications and storytelling.
- Eagerness to learn, grow, and excel within a dynamic agency environment.
