Job description

About Us

At LogicMonitor, we cherish a work environment rooted in trust, an obsessive focus on customers, agility, and relentless pursuit of improvement. These principles shape our culture, extending to a performance-driven and recognition-rich atmosphere where employees thrive and deliver their best work.

Based in Sydney CBD near Town Hall and Hyde Park, our office serves as one of several global Centers of Energy—spaces designed to enhance productivity, spark creativity, and foster connection and celebration among teams.

Role Overview

The Account Executive (AE) position centers on spearheading business development and managing the entire sales cycle—from initial outreach and meetings through product demonstrations, proof of concept, and contract finalization. You will strategically target accounts within your assigned territory or verticals using outbound calling, LinkedIn outreach, and innovative approaches to build a robust sales pipeline. Collaboration with business development representatives and channel partners is integral for handling inbound leads.

As the face of LogicMonitor in sales engagements, you will identify client needs, conduct demos tailored to technical stakeholders, coordinate proof of concept validation, and negotiate contracts that underscore our solution's value. Your role includes liaising with presales engineers, technical support, and product management to secure new clients, orchestrating professional service scoping discussions, and facilitating customer success transitions. Engagement with marketing for event staffing and lead follow-ups is also expected, along with precise sales forecasting for management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and actively prospect within target accounts.
  • Achieve activity goals for calls, emails, and meetings.
  • Schedule at least two meetings weekly with new potential clients.
  • Handle a minimum of two self-sourced new client meetings per week.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of LogicMonitor’s platform and articulate its unique business benefits.
  • Execute the Vista Value Selling methodology to advance prospects through sales stages.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—presales, product, and management—to facilitate sales progress.
  • Enhance trial experiences by proactively developing dashboards and reports customized to prospects.
  • Customize LogicMonitor solutions to meet diverse customer needs and use cases.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 to 8 years of relevant sales expertise including at least 4 years specializing in SaaS sales.
  • A track record of at least 75% of career achieving 100% or more of sales quota.
  • Experience thriving in high-pressure, competitive sales environments.
  • Proven ability to sell complex tech solutions within IT organizations.
  • Formal training in sales methodologies like MEDDPICC or strategic account planning.
  • Clear communication skills capable of simplifying complex technology concepts.
  • Experience successfully closing new accounts and managing existing client relationships.
  • Proficiency in prospecting and initiating outbound outreach.
  • Capability to handle complex sales cycles with diligent CRM documentation.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated skill in negotiating new business deals.
  • Consistent achievement or surpassing of sales targets in software sales roles.
  • Ability to maintain a healthy pipeline, even with limited internal lead generation support.
  • Regularly deliver accurate monthly and quarterly forecasts to management.
  • Willingness to travel as required and adapt to flexible working hours.
