Role Summary

The Account Analyst role is embedded within PIMCO's Singapore Global Wealth Management team, serving private and retail banks as well as family offices in Singapore. This position involves both client support and sales activities, requiring the development of thorough technical knowledge of financial markets and products to effectively represent PIMCO to Wealth Management clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Account Management team by delivering superior client service.
  • Respond promptly and accurately to client inquiries regarding portfolio performance, marketing materials, and due diligence questionnaires.
  • Assist in preparing and executing marketing events and roadshows.
  • Create and maintain diverse materials to aid new business acquisition, existing client engagement, and marketing initiatives.
  • Act as a dedicated product contact for clients and prospects.
  • Offer insights into PIMCO’s investment philosophy, processes, strategies, and performance to clients and prospects.
  • Prepare comprehensive client reports covering performance, portfolio exposure, and risk metrics with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Analyze portfolio data, including qualitative and quantitative performance attribution.
  • Continuously deepen understanding of market drivers to perform more nuanced investment analyses.

Candidate Requirements

Educational and Linguistic Qualifications

  • Minimum undergraduate degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Interest in pursuing CFA certification is essential.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin to effectively engage Chinese-speaking clientele.

Experience and Technical Skills

  • Between zero and one year of experience, ideally within banking or asset management sectors.
  • University internships in client-facing financial roles considered in lieu of formal employment experience.
  • Familiarity with fixed income markets, macroeconomics, currencies, and derivatives preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel including macros and query tools; VBA knowledge is advantageous.
  • Ability to utilize AI technologies to boost productivity, improve decisions, and optimize workflows.
  • Exposure to Bloomberg terminal is a plus; basic programming skills are also desirable.
