Position Overview

The Academic and Career Advisor supports students by helping them build academic plans, explore career direction, complete registration tasks, and strengthen their study strategies. The role works with an assigned group of recently admitted students, first-semester students, and continuing learners to improve success, persistence, academic progress, and completion rates.

This role is based at the Midlands Technical College Airport Campus in Lexington County, South Carolina.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide students in developing academic plans and selecting appropriate courses.
  • Provide career counseling and help students connect academic choices with long-term goals.
  • Assist with registration and related enrollment processes.
  • Support students in building effective academic strategies for success.
