Yard / Forklift Operative

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Yard / Forklift Operative to become a vital part of TJ O'Mahony based in Tullamore, County Offaly. As a member of Ireland's premier Builders Providers and Home Improvement/DIY Store, you will contribute to efficient yard and warehouse operations supporting our sales and delivery processes.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Accurately pick and fulfill sales orders, prepare deliveries with appropriate wrapping, and complete all relevant warehouse documentation for dispatch.
• Safely load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring efficiency throughout.
• Manage stock recording and organize received deliveries effectively within the warehouse.
• Carry out warehouse tasks to maintain smooth operational flow.
• Adhere strictly to all Company Health and Safety regulations and policies.
• Handle and stack materials correctly using proper manual handling methods.
• Inspect finished product packaging to confirm seals are intact and labels are correctly placed.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess strong communication and interpersonal abilities to foster teamwork and effective coordination.
• Hold a valid Forklift Operator Licence ensuring safe handling of machinery.
• Proficient in basic computer skills to manage warehouse documentation and order processing.
• Demonstrate a friendly and cooperative attitude conducive to a positive workplace environment.

Working Hours and Location

This full-time position entails working 39 hours per week, Monday through Saturday, at our Tullamore facility.
