Vice President Procurement

Position Summary

The Vice President (VP) of Procurement holds the critical responsibility for leading the company's procurement strategic planning, managing supplier relationships, and overseeing global procurement activities. This role is pivotal in devising procurement strategies, enhancing supply chain efficiency, developing supplier networks, controlling costs, managing raw material sourcing, and integrating international procurement resources. The VP ensures the company maintains a reliable, high-quality, and competitively priced supply chain to support sustained business growth and strengthen its position in the global jewelry market.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop medium- and long-term procurement strategies along with supply chain development plans.
• Optimize the global procurement framework and resource allocation.
• Lead strategic sourcing for precious metals, diamonds, colored gemstones, jewelry raw materials, and production inputs.
• Build and sustain an efficient, stable, and sustainable procurement system.
• Design and implement supplier development and management strategies.
• Forge and maintain strong relationships with key global suppliers and strategic partners.
• Create systems for supplier evaluation, selection, auditing, and performance tracking.
• Refine the supplier base to strengthen supply chain stability and competitiveness.
• Manage and optimize procurement processes and day-to-day operations.
• Develop cost control initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency and profit margins.
• Oversee procurement budgeting and resource allocation optimization.
• Promote standardization, digitalization, and systematization of procurement operations.
• Collaborate across procurement, supply chain, production, quality assurance, product, and sales departments to ensure alignment with company goals.
• Enhance supplier quality and product delivery reliability.
• Analyze global market trends and price changes within the jewelry raw materials sector.
• Formulate strategies to mitigate supply risks and continuously improve procurement structures.
• Identify and manage supply chain and market risks.
• Ensure compliance with international trade laws, industry standards, and corporate policies governing procurement.

Qualifications and Experience

• Twenty to twenty-five years of professional experience in procurement, supply chain management, or closely related sectors.
• More than eight years in senior procurement leadership roles such as Director or Vice President.
• Preferred experience with supply chain systems in jewelry, luxury goods, precious metals, diamonds, or premium manufacturing industries.
• Demonstrated expertise in global sourcing, international supplier management, and cross-border procurement.
• Strong strategic planning, supply chain management, negotiation, and leadership skills.
