Overview
This senior leadership opportunity is based in Spain and entails directing sales operations within a cutting-edge healthcare technology firm. The VP of Sales will shape commercial strategies and steer business expansion throughout Western Europe, heading regional sales teams and fostering strategic alliances with healthcare institutions and industry influencers. Collaboration with marketing, clinical, service, and patient access divisions is essential to achieve sustained revenue growth and solidify market share.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement a regional sales plan to surpass revenue, market share, and expansion targets across Western Europe.
- Lead, mentor, and cultivate top-performing sales teams, promoting accountability, teamwork, and continuous development.
- Coordinate with marketing, clinical, service, and patient access teams to harmonize commercial efforts and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline with precise forecasting, opportunity tracking, and reporting via Salesforce.
- Advance strategic accounts by deepening partnerships with major healthcare providers, hospitals, academic centers, and thought leaders.
- Oversee complex negotiations, pricing strategies, contract arrangements, and long-term commercial collaborations.
- Monitor market changes, competitors, and industry trends to adjust sales approaches and reinforce market positioning.
- Utilize clinical proof and value-based selling techniques to distinguish products and assist customer choices.
- Ensure excellent customer experience throughout the sales process, including alignment with service teams post-sale.
- Manage regional operational plans, evaluate performance metrics, conduct win/loss analysis, and lead business reviews to ensure sustainable commercial success.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor's degree is required; an MBA or other advanced business qualification is preferred.
- At least 10 years of progressive sales leadership overseeing large territories or regions with significant revenue responsibility.
- Solid background in radiation oncology, medical devices, healthcare technology, or the wider healthcare sector.
- Proven track record in leading regional commercial strategies, building high-performance sales teams, and consistently exceeding sales goals.
- Expertise in executive sales, complex negotiation, strategic account management, and developing multi-year partnerships.
- Experience with sales forecasting, pipeline management, CRM systems (preferably Salesforce), and commercial performance reporting.
- Valued relationships with hospitals, healthcare systems, physicians, and top healthcare decision-makers.
- Strong financial, analytical, organizational, and project management abilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Capability to inspire and direct diverse teams while juggling multiple strategic priorities in a dynamic setting.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% within the region.
- Legal authorization to work permanently in Spain without sponsorship.
