Value Stream Lead – Core Modernisation

Role Summary

The Value Stream Lead - Core is a senior leadership position within the Platform portfolio. The role is responsible for converting strategic direction into product roadmaps, delivery priorities and tangible value for customers and the business.

You will guide product direction for the value stream, ensuring strong leadership input from Engineering and Quality, while aligning cross-functional teams around clear goals, sound decision-making and shared outcomes.

The position also supports a major modernisation effort for Command Centre, moving the platform from a monolithic on-premises structure toward a modular and scalable future. This includes balancing exploratory work with accountability for important areas of the current platform.

What You Will Do

• Turn Platform portfolio strategy into practical value stream goals, delivery roadmaps and prioritised work.
• Lead core modernisation work that helps teams develop beyond the monolith and progress toward a modular architecture.
• Make balanced decisions that weigh customer needs, technical constraints, quality, risk and commercial outcomes.
• Develop product leaders, bring stakeholders into alignment and keep customer value central to every decision.

About You

You are an established leader in product management, product ownership or product development, with the ability to connect strategy, commercial judgement, customer insight, technical complexity and people leadership in a change-heavy environment.

This role requires a strong on-site presence in Hamilton, working closely with teams and stakeholders to build momentum, clarity and confidence in the direction of travel.

Experience and Background

• At least 5 years of experience in senior product management, product ownership or product development.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance value, risk, cost, opportunity and delivery trade-offs.
• Experience leading business transformation, technology-enabled change or complex product delivery.
• A collaborative leadership approach with systems thinking, influence across functions and the ability to simplify complexity.
