Role Overview

We are seeking a Travel Curator to join our Human in the Loop team, collaborating with Layla's AI to develop meticulous, highly customized travel itineraries. Your responsibilities include refining AI drafts, selecting distinctive experiences, and overseeing every detail to ensure smooth execution from departure to return. Ideal candidates have extensive personal travel experience and consider travel planning a skilled craft, applying thoughtful judgment to every recommendation based on real-world knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Enhance AI-generated travel plans into polished, tailor-made itineraries covering end-to-end trip elements.
• Deliver concierge-level support by managing complex bookings, special requests, and last-minute itinerary changes calmly and efficiently.
• Conduct research and suggest destinations, lodging, dining, and activities, including less-known attractions and unique finds.
• Thoroughly verify trip details for accuracy, logistics, timing, accessibility, and seasonality.
• Interact with travelers warmly and professionally, offering reassurance throughout planning and travel.
• Work closely with product and AI development teams, contributing experiential insights that improve Layla’s capabilities continuously.

Candidate Qualifications

• Broad personal travel history, having managed complex journeys involving multi-leg flights, transfers, visa requirements, and neighborhood selections.
• Professional experience in travel planning, consulting, tour operations, luxury concierge, or comparable roles.
• In-depth destination expertise complemented by a genuine enthusiasm for travel beyond professional obligations.
• Impeccable attention to detail, adept at spotting issues like tight connections or closed venues proactively.
• Excellent written English communication skills; multilingual abilities are advantageous.
• Customer-oriented mindset with adaptability and resourcefulness during unexpected travel changes.
• Proficiency in modern technology tools and a keen interest in AI integration in travel services.
• Self-driven, disciplined, and dependable working remotely full-time.
